Originally scheduled for May 17, the annual kid’s derby had to be postponed twice, due to a series of heavy rainfall and dangerous high-water events. Finally, on June 7 [number of kids] were able to cast their lines for a chance at taking home a trophy and some really big fish. In the end, all the kids were winners, taking home some fishing gear (rod & reels, nets, tackle boxes, etc.). This year, we’re looking forward to an even bigger turnout and with no postponements.
