The Tagged Trout Program is one of the most exciting ways to support the Dauphin County Anglers & Conservationists while adding an extra layer of fun to trout season.

Each year, specially tagged trout are released into the waters near the E.J. Stackpole Memorial Nursery. Anglers who catch a tagged trout have the opportunity to win cash prizes.

Participation in the Tagged Trout Program is simple.

• Purchase a tagged trout badge before fishing
• Fish during the program period
• Catch a tagged trout
• Match the tag number to the prize list

You can only win if you have purchased a badge.

Badge Information

Tagged trout badges are available for purchase:

• At local sponsoring businesses
• At the hatchery

Badge cost: $2.00 each

All proceeds directly support trout care, stocking efforts, and nursery operations.
